While the original owner is now unknown, this giulietta has been collector-owned for many years. Over the past five years many upgrades to this largely original car have been made. It has been documented by alfa romeo and is a numbers-matching, factory-correct car. Motor number 131540850. The original engine and drivetrain were completely rebuilt to factory specifications by noted alfa specialist and long time racer, dennis pillar. This included bearings, pistons, valves and guides. The weber carburetor was rebuilt, as was the transmission, along with a new clutch assembly. All mechanicals are in excellent condition and it runs and drives without fault. The car was recently re-painted, re-upholstered and carpeted in correct color and style. It was fitted with new radial tires and a new battery. It includes a spare wheel and tire and correct jack. It is ready for the road! It drives wonderfully with tight handling, plenty of power (and a great exhaust note).

For sale in this ad is a 1987 alfa romeo spider quadrifoglio hard top convertible with 91,630 actual miles. This fuel injected 4-cylinder 1962cc engine produces around 115 hp. Mechanically, this 5 speed convertible is in great condition and runs and drives very well with no leaks, smoke, slips, or knocks while driving or in idle. Shifting is a bit rough from 2nd to 3rd. The brakes, clutch, and transmission are both in good condition. The paint and body are in good condition with only a couple minor touched up rock chips, fading in the spoiler, and two scratches on the front of the hood (see pictures). The removable hard top is in good condition with the weather stripping coming unglued by the doors. The 15" factory wheels are in great condition with minor curb scuff. The yokohoma 195/50 tires are great condition with about 80% tread remaining. All of the electronics are in good working condition with the exception of the speedometer. The interior is extremely clean, with no burns or stains just some ripping at the seems on the upper right of the drivers seat. The seats show a little wear but the carpet, door panels, and dash are in great condition. Rust is a big issue with sub 1991 models, but this one shows very little signs of rust. None in the paint, engine bay, around the seals of the hard top, or frame rails. Everything considered this well maintained alfa spider is in good condition and will make an excellent platform for a show car restoration, a fun weekend or daily driver, or a cool piece to add to a collection.
